Gary Pines
Specializing in professional services, Gary is a trainer/coach and has
coached both individual executives and teams of professionals to develop
new business. Gary's background includes actuarial, benefits and human
resource consulting as well as business development and marketing roles
for national firms. Gary spent almost twenty years with Towers Perrin,
a globally known human resources consulting firm. He successfully developed
business with major corporations, including Baxter International, Sears,
Kraft Foods, McDonald's, The Northern Trust Bank, CNA, Kemper Insurance,
Ameritech, The Chicago Mercantile Exchange, the Chicago Board of Options
and numerous others. Gary is involved in numerous civic, trade and charitable
activities including The Economic Club of Chicago, The Chicago school
system, Menttium (a mentoring group for professional women), The Council
on Employee Benefits (CEB), The American Benefits Council (a Washington,
D.C. based lobbying organization) and The United Way. Gary is an actuary
and a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries. He writes on selling professional
services for such publications as Consulting to Management. He has an
undergraduate degree from Lawrence University and a Masters degree in
actuarial science from the University of Michigan business school.
